Night Shyamalan. - The acting was pitiful, possibly because they were in-experienced children. You can tell they put no one behind the movie. Dav Patel 's speaking roles were surprisingly small. - The storyline is pushed too fast along, taking away from most of the understanding of the character's emotions. I could tell that it was rushed, and it barely broke the 90 minute mark. - The movie barely resembles the original cartoon storyline. The sets were advertised as being great and having the biggest set studio made on the east coast. Now that I see the movie, I see that the sets are half assed and don't at all resemble the scenery of the cartoon. - The CGI effects were more were lacking badly. It far from resembles the budget. The movie took $150m to make and $130m to advertise. For a comparison, Iron Man 2 took about 170m to make, and 150m to advertise. I'm dying to know how the 3D aspect, lack of no power-house actors, and short run time (for a blockbuster) was enough to push this past the 50m budget line. The trailer is misleading, giving the idea that this is the effect-driven blockbuster of the summer, in 3D.
