Geezer Report post Posted August 30, 2010 Baseball the game has evolved into a pitching dominated game. I think it's because of teams focusing more on the fundamentals of baseball which happens to be largely based on Pitching/Defense. The Barry Bond's are a thing of the past, big powered home run hitters aren't as valued anymore by a solid RBI machine that can play top notch D. Thankfully being a fan of a small market team this change greatly helps us out, a team with a $60m that is ranked 24th in home runs in baseball also is tied for the best record because of awesome starting pitching and amazing Defense.
