Bill Belichick Report post Posted August 22, 2010 I don't know if anyone here follows it, but in a few weeks the World Basketball Championships will commence in Turkey. There are 24 countries in it from USA to Tunisia. The current world champs, USA, have no one returning this year from their 2008 squad. Many players from the NBA will not be playing in it this year which makes it a prime target for the European powerhouses (Spain, Greece and Lithuania). Although Europe has some powerhouses players like Dirk Nowitzki, of Germany, and Pau Gasol, of Spain, will not be playing. There are also a few other good teams in the world, including Brazil, Argentina, a few Slavic states, and Australia. I will have to go with my home country, USA to win this year. They have superior coaches and superior guards, although Spain has some good centers. I have the list of teams. Angola Argentina Australia Brazil Canada China Cote d'Ivoire Croatia France Germany Greece Iran Jordan Lebanon Lithuania New Zealand Puerto Rico Russia Serbia Slovenia Spain Tunisia Turkey United States The only teams that I think have a chance would be: USA, Spain, Greece, Lithuania, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.
