Flynn Report post Posted September 1, 2010 I might play it, probably won't get my hands on beta key anytime soon though.
alan1 Report post Posted September 4, 2010 I watched a livestream of the closed beta they had a few months ago and it looks slow, boring, retarded, uninteresting and shitty. However, it could be because the guy playing it obviously sucked at gaming, but it really looks like the total opposite of what they said they were going to do with their new found MMORPG. I'm still going to buy it anyways for PC and own it though.

alan1 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Square Enix is introducing a â??fatigueâ? system to upcoming MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV which will apparently see players hit with crippling penalties if they play more than an hour a day, with those daring to play more than 4 hours having their XP reduced to 0 Are you fucking serious? Yea, heard about it a while ago, didn't want to kill your dreams, bro to clarify, it's not a day to day basis, it's weekly Players earn XP at 100% for the first 8 hours. For 7 hours over this limit the XP received decreases to 0%. The time limit for the playtime counter to reset is 1 week. The XP gain limit is not tied to any class/job but is per character. Drops and loot are not affected by the XP â??fatigue."

Pali Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Limiting gameplay to 1 hour even though they charge monthly subscription fees to their players? Makes no sense.
alan1 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 Limiting gameplay to 1 hour even though they charge monthly subscription fees to their players? Makes no sense. Their logic is to encourage players to do other things like learn more classes, professions on other types of classes and professions instead of just grinding to the max level. Which is kind of a retarded logic since half the fun of an MMORPG, especially a JMMORPG is the grind. It's some feeble attempt to prevent things like gold farmers farming your levels 24/7, shit that ruins it for the rest of us. You basically get 8 hours a week to gain XP that levels your combat and then you don't get any more XP, but you can still level up your professions & level another character of a different class. Just thinking about how frustrating it's going to be to play is already making me not want to get it.
