Jake2 Report post Posted September 19, 2010 No idea why this was locked. X1/X11s are the same, aren't they?... Yeah, they're worth it, but if you really want a good headset, buy astros. http://astrogaming.com

John`` Report post Posted September 20, 2010 Yeah I got the X31 and it's awesome in MW2 and shit ( Don't buy the X31 needs new batteries in like 10 hours, just get the X1 ) Do the X1/X11 both need batteries? I actually never thought about it Nope they just have alot of wires, but they work just as good as the X31 and are like 50$ cheaper. Setting it up: * The X31 has 1 for the controller, but it has a sensor you have to plug in also: ( It works from my room ( upstairs ) to the kitchen, but it starts getting this crackling noise. ) The crackling noise also happens if it starts dying, which is really annoying. X1's are pretty shit really but are worth it if ure just messing around , i had them wen i first started and u can have my old pair if u want lmao as i got a pair of Astro A40's as i take gaming a bit more seriously (Y) Thanks, both been helpful <3 Decided to order the X11 /topic
alan1 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 I've been using the X11's for about 6 months now and they're completely worth it, especially if you play FPS where things like being able to hear footsteps, switching weapons, reloading, windows breaking from far away, other stupid bullshit you never even realized you could hear can help you track your enemy. You can even hear through Ninja Pro, but by the time you hear it, you'll likely be dead. But if someone tries to get cute with you and follow you around, you'll easily be able to 180 on them because you'll hear them for sure. I play mostly Search and Destroy and I can't tell you how many times it's helped me make better decisions for outplaying people. You can hear the bomb being planted/defused from so far away. You can hide out of sight and wait to rush in and kill whoever is left when they try and defuse/plant. Most people plant and hide in some obvious corner spot and die, but you get more freedom with the X11's. There's even been a bunch of times where someone has tried to knife me and missed, but I heard them swing their knife so I turned around and killed them. They're great for voice communication too. The material around the ear pieces doesn't make your ears sweat, so you can wear them like all day and not have some sweaty build up. They also go over your ear, instead of pressing up against them so your ears don't get sore after long hours of usage. You can also hear yourself talk in them so you can have the volume up high as fuck to hear everything and not have to be yelling into your mic. The mic quality is equally good, no fuzzy noises or anything like that. The overall quality of the headset is good too. I've dropped my numerous times off my desk and shit they're still working like new. They're way cheaper now than when I bought them, anyone who is serious about gaming or plays to win should have them. They make a huge difference once you've learned how to master directional awareness and judging how much time you have before someone comes around a corner, etc. I don't wanna say having a TB headset makes you a better player, but it really goes give you an edge over people who don't have them and people who don't use Ninja Pro. Especially on maps where there is a lot of surfaces. You can hear niggas coming from miles away.

Corey Report post Posted September 20, 2010 (edited) x31s are your best bet, I got them in december and have nothing but positive comments on them. They are wireless and have THE BEST sound you could ask for. 360 degree sound (good for heading footsteps in CoD) and you can hear every tiny sound effect that you normally don't notice (eg tac insertion, bomb plants/defusal half way across the map) and you don't need any cords for it either (except to use the mic, in which you plug a cable from the headset to the controller) and they are $100 but if you take care of it (since youve broke 3 (I'm assuming your that guy who breaks all his disks/stuff lol) they won't break and if you buy them at best buy you can get a 2 yr+ warranty (if it breaks they let you go pick out a new one for $100 so if a newer version is out when it poops out on you its a free upgrade) Hope it helped Edited September 20, 2010 by Kill Elmo2
