i made a topic about this and yes im mad!

 

anyway... before a workout you should actually have food. i'd say some fast burning carb like rice and a good protein source like tuna. or just a tuna sandwich. THIS IS NOT THE IMPORTANT PART. if you want to though you can take a shot of jack3d or w/e the supplement for energy is.

 

Keep your workout under 1 hour. After that within 30 minutes take a protein shake. 1 and a half scoops preferably. (make sure your taking it with no fat, it slows down the rate of absorbtion. ei skim milk makes them taste good, water is better ) Also to raise your insulin to absorb protein faster some people use supplements like maltose something (its a supplemental sugar) or simply just a tablespoon of honey, a banana, melons

 

1 hour later eat your MOST IMPORTANT MEAL (anyone who says breakfast is, dickslap them) high protein and high fast acting carb all with 0 to very little grams of fat. EI some chicken breast (as lean as it can get) with some rice.

 

If your gonna get whey protein shakes also try to get some caesin protein shakes or cottage cheese. When you go to bed take a caesin protein or cottage cheese for a slow acting protein called caesin. It'll stop catabolism which will hinder your results a more than people think.

 

Btw its hard to lose weight while increasing strength unless your super fat. but at 150 pounds, i'd say just try to lose weight and sustain muscle.

 

 

 

Your last statement is very untrue. Of course it is not easy but it is DEFIANTLY a obstacle you can overcome and if you eat right and have a good work out YOU WILL be burning fat while GAINING muscle.

Well of course you can gain muscle while staying skinny but thatâ??s at around 10% bodyfat for a good slender shape while still gaining at a moderate pace. I just figured since he was wrestling, he was planning on dropping to 6%-8% or lower bodyfat at the 145 weight class and at that weight, Iâ??d say its pretty impossible to gain considerably stronger.

The bulk/ cut cycle is very ineffective for regular gym goers (I think this is what you thought I was talking about) because the whole cycle of cut and bulk is based on a week (bodybuilders peak for only 1-2 days) of peak. Obviously nobody practical actually wants to only look good for a week, so staying at 10%( abs showing/ a bit traced and relative deep shoulder, bicep separation) will be enough bodyfat to gain strength consistently.

I have watched a few of Scoobyâ??s vids and I find them very helpful because he keeps things simple without going into the science of bodybuilding. One thing a lot of people donâ??t agree on him is that taking only whey protein. Whey is built to be completely absorbed in 45 minutes to 1 hour. Doesnâ??t do much good tbh when you go to sleep and it only covers you 1/8 hours (which you should try to get, since I get like 5â?¦). A slow releasing protein (casein) or milk (contains casein) would be a better choice.

Just seen this thread, this is what I eat on a normal day and when I take my shakes etc to give you an idea.

 

7:30 Porridge and a protein shake.

9:30 Banana and a handful of nuts. Cashew nuts are good.

12:00 Chicken breast and rice.

2.30 scrambled egg + toast

5:00 have another banana.

- I go training around this time -

When you finish training protein shake with water, as soon as you're done training.

7:00 Red meat and pasta, potatoes or rice.

Have a tin of tuna 3 hours'ish before you go to bed.

 

Drop me a PM on IRC/MSN if you need any help with anything regarding working out, supplements, shakes, diet, routine and even gear if you want to go down that route.. which to be honest, if you have the time to do gear, I'd say go for it, just make sure you read around it and know what you're taking and do it properly, it's as safe as paracetamol.

Been doing that ever since i started training seriously for the army.

Im no nutritionist or whatever but pretty much I get 4 scoops of that bad boy protein, plop it in my bottle, fill it up with milk/water (depending where i am), and drink about a fourth before workout and the rest after. Im sure theres better ways, but it works fine for me with my diet and what not.

A great name named Fuh once said "to drink your protein shake before you go out for a run", so when you come home you can throw up your entire meal, I guess that's one way if you want to lose weight. Personally never have taken a protein shake mainly because I don't really need much to prove to myself :$

Personally never have taken a protein shake mainly because I don't really need much to prove to myself :$
