Zero Fear1 Report post Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) The first Xmen movie was really good and the sequels were entertaining. This one looks good but not having Ian Mckellen and Patrick Stewart in them is kind of disappointing, although I know there isn't really a way to continue the series forwards and you have to go back like they did with Xmen Origins(also a good movie). Anyway I imagine I'll go see it. Origins was horrid. How can you make a movie that blows balls when the background for the character has already been written out for you? I mean that script was a disgrace to the marvel name (plus when the fuck did baraka from mortal kombat enter the marvel scene?). Although Hugh Jackman put on a strong performance, nobody could have said that movie. Ot though, this does not look so bad. I like the fact they are introducing new characters that nobody is familiar with (but hopefully they don't change the entire storyline) and I think Michael Fassbender will play a great magneto. Looking at the trailer I can already tell they are going to fuck up the story line once again, but hopefully they can actually make something that is worth the watch. I know origins wasn't what you'd call a great movie, but seeing a ripped Hugh Jackman running around screaming at people will he puts metal claws through their face will never stop being entertaining. Like I said, Hugh Jackman put on a strong performance, but it didn't make up for the lost storyline (imo). I am a huge fan of the books and have been reading since I was a kid, so that is probably why I hated it so much. After watching the live action DBZ movie I can see where you're coming from lol
 0
