I actually just got back from seeing it, and honestly it was probably the best horror film I have seen in 2011. It certainly didn't make me jump out of my seat, but it was defiantly chill worthy.

If anyone has ever heard of specific night terrors called "Old Hag Syndrome" you will find that they pretty much had the idea of that, and made it into a movie worth the watch. It moved pretty fast, having spooky scenes from the start and just kept getting more frightful as the movie progressed and defiantly left you scared.

The trailer does not do the actual movie justice at all, it is defiantly ten times better than what they made it out to be.

i just got back from seeing it. it was pretty well done compared to the horror genre these days. i love horror movies and this was worth the money spent. if you dont like horror/chillers, skip it.

Went with a few friends and our first reaction was: there was way to much going on in the movie. They moved houses twice, talked about a 'traveler' and living in another dimension, and at some points the movie seemed to be a bit corny. Like, they had all this equipment to talk to people in another dimension and shit. Different cameras that could detect these 'travelers' which are essentially dead people who live in another 'dimension' and can go back to the real world.

I thought the script was corny at times and with that some of the acting (mainly by this one old bitch in the movie) but overall the acting was alright. I didn't get the feeling that the movie was low budget or cheaply made. I think the directors did a good job of setting the tone for the movie and with that comes a different type of picture.

No movie is scary anymore, mainly just a lot of build up to something that you don't expect which makes you scream/gasp/jump. I don't think I've been genuinely scared of a movie since maybe the original Halloween series that I saw when I was younger. I wasn't blown away with the movie and I didn't expect to be either.

The coolest thing was the haunted house feel the movie had. I mean I'm not talking like someone in your house you don't know, they did a good job of making it seem like you were actually experiencing it yourself. I felt like I was walking through a haunted house at Six Flags or something (an amusement park).

Was an alright movie, the haunted house feel was cool as I said, but the script seemed dull and there was really just to much going on. (at some points, mainly the beginning of the movie.)

I'm in an easily scare-able (is that even a word?) mood atm, so I refuse to watch this

I'm not sure what you mean by "there was way to much going on in the movie", it only had one plot which was pretty simple and easy to follow (if you listen and go in with a open mind). They didn't have a million other stories\plots going on, just reactions to what was going on around them.

No movie is scary anymore? Maybe for you, but there are certainly other movies that do laps around the Halloween series (Halloween 1 was the only good thing about that series).
