Zero Fear1 Report post Posted June 21, 2011 (edited) First off, Ryan Reynolds was a huge miscast (just had to throw that out on the table). Overall horrible movie. Terrible script and poor dialogue that made me want to gouge my eyes out. With such a huge budget wasted on special effects you can only wonder why the fuck didn't they think about writing a better script, or better yet letting the other members of the core do some actual fighting, instead of getting absolutely decimated. Fight scenes were so short and hardly any really enjoyable ones, the whole core really did absolutely nothing. Important characters that could have really shined were given no screen time, it was so focused on Hal Jordan, (which sucked because Hal Jordan barely had any cool moments as the Green Lantern) that it just turned the movie entire a boring drama. What really even got me more confused was when Sinestro puts the ring on in the after credits. I know why, (because I read the books) but the books and the movie adaptions are two totally different things (vastly different because they don't stick to the source material 100%). They should have put a little more effort into explaining why he is going to put the ring on, even after the threat is over. Also when the first charge of the core got their mules kicked, I love how Sinestro just magically appears back to the guardians. I mean, wtf! Such a shame, it really could have been something great. PS: If you do end up watching it, DO NOT SEE IT IN 3D! The only actual 3D part is the 5 minute beginning intro (just like everything else produced in 3D, Hollywood just wants to make more money).
