@Matt Report post Posted July 20, 2011 Forums - Most Active Around | TerrorTube | #RoT Well well well...our day began roughly 12 hours ago with us massing to hit Echo of Silence, unfortunately for them they only pulled 44 people and instead decided they'd lure us into Violent Resolution, the fight got off to a start on World 55. Reign of Terror Starting: 36 Violent Resolution Starting: 240~ The fight started off pretty even, but as time went by VR gained more and more. About an hour into the fight VR was up to 115 people on Teamspeak while we were at 80. VR plowed us with 40 snipers, and at this point in a fight many clans would end. We had crashers on us, we had 40 snipers on us, and we were outnumbered by 35 people. VR counted on us to succumb to the pressure, they counted wrong. As the hours went by we weathered a hell of a storm, but we never lost our composure, fighting through the odds brilliantly. With our Sniper Unit (Dogs - Get used to them) being able to hold back the whole of VR with just 15 people, pinning them down at maze, north of mossies, and at piper. About 4 hours into the fight, things took a turn. We began gaining, at this point we peaked at 94 people while VR had lost their numbers and were hovering 100. As the clan world has seen countless times, when the numbers are even – or even close to even, the fight is ours. And ours it was, from here we began to close the gap that being outnumbered by 35 had created and began making VR regroup. We knew they wouldn't give in, we knew they wouldn't hand us their pride, so we had to take it. After hitting VR regroups for over an hour, the toll we took showed itself in the fact that VR had 70 actives left while nearly every single RoT member was still there and we still were hammering away with 92 people on Teamspeak. At around Midnight EST, the fight..well..wasn't a fight. VR would gain less than 100 kills in the next 3 hours, and from here we chased them at nearly every spot of deep wilderness imaginable. Until 1:30am I did respect VR's restraint to not regroup in single, but this was soon broken. VR began regrouping at the canoe spot, 35 portal, and the single area around Rune rocks. But we were well informed, and we were able to hit every single VR regroup, "walking regroup", gathering, however they want to spin it. By 1:45am VR had 45 actives, while our 90 champions remained. At this point VR members were being asked "If you want to continue, say it in the CC" and being told "If we don't pick it up in 15 minutes, we're ending". The moment I got word of this, I knew victory would come before 3am. We continued to pressure VR, hitting every single regroup they attempted until their final stand at east tree –– consisting of 15 opts –– was crushed. At this point, VR members were instructed to log out. Reign of Terror stood victorious after 11 hours. We had overcome crashers, DDoSing (three times), and being plowed with snipers. After all this, ending with nearly 20 people more than we started with. I C 3 B Report post Posted July 20, 2011 (edited) Pretty much new what was going to happen during this fight considering I learned first hand from being in vr for 8 months or so. Sure they start with 115 people, but they will always drop to half what they started the fight with, I guess some things never change. Absolutely smacked you and put you in your place, outnumbered yes but never outgunned. You had 35+ on us and around 20 EoS secondaries don't worry i know who i'm accusing and they know its true. Outnumbered? Yes Outgunned? No DDosed? NP Wasn't a good fight it was an epic fight on all proportions we beat you against all odds. #1 F2P #1 P2P. 29 Deaths in 11 hours lmfao.
