Ok so I have a 6 month old computer and a 6 year old computer. The new computer wont identify with the VGA and DVI cables but the old one will.. So theres something wrong with the video card or graphics card etc it might of came loose or something but either way i dont know how to fix it. I dont want to go to a computer repair like geek squad when its a 30 second problem so if anyone knows how to help at all please try if you can. Last night it just went out randomly and wont work i've reset the monitor and etc so theres something wrong with the computer itself. I'm not good with computers :$

Your monitor could have been fried if your PC can run fine but the monitor can't. If you have two computers plug the monitor that doesn't work in and check.

Open up your case (make sure you ground yourself first by touching an unpainted metal object), check if the graphics card is still firmly in place (you shouldn't be able to move it around at all). If it's not, push it in evenly on both sides. Also make sure your graphics cards' power cable is plugged in (in both your power supply and your card itself). If that's not the case, take a look at your RAM (click). Make sure that it's not loose or anything, you shouldn't be able to move either RAM stick whatsoever.

Update the driver files for your monitor and graphics card.
