LoL is the only decent MobA shits on everything els the only way dota2 will get more people is if they make it f2p then it will still struggle because all the good dota 1 designers are now working at LoL.

buying heroes will be retarded - i'm sure they won't implement it into DoTA 2 like that because that would pretty much ruin game mechanics. Although I wouldn't mind paying $40-50 for the game itself though. Developers gotta eat food too.

Icefrog who was the lead developer of DotA is also the creator of DotA 2 along with the valve team.So many people actually stuck with Warcraft 3, it's obvious most will move on to DotA 2 since thats where all the competitive players are going to go.

 

Saying most of the DotA developers are now working for riot is a complete fallacy.They have one of the lead designers and that's it.Rest are a couple of ex Blizzard employees and the dude who created the DotA-allstars community forum.

 

I'm guessing most of the competitive players will switch over to DotA 2 since it will have the larger competitive community.Also keep in mind all the people switching over from HoN.It's kind of obvious DotA 2 will become the larger game.

not to mention guinsoo was a HORRIBLE editor, even at his prime during editing he released changelogs once every FOUR months and they were nothing that couldn't be done within an hour. also, he turned a game based on ganking and teamwork into designing heroes that needed heavy amounts of farming which turned the game into a game of farming.
