niagro Report post Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) The Chicago Bears receiver was arrested in Chicago this week for apparently trying to buy a large amount of drugs (cocaine and marijuana) in North Texas for distribution in Chicago. A radio station in Chicago, 670 The Score, is reporting that Hurd was considered one of the "top few" drug dealers in the Chicago area, which gives you an idea of the scope of his (and his co-conspirators') operation. But the story may get worse, at least for the NFL. According to the same radio station, law enforcement officials have a list of NFL players that received their drugs from Hurd and that list is in the double digits. If those names get out (and if those guys are guilty) this could turn into a major NFL story implicating a lot of players. That said, a list of NFL players doesn't necessarily mean they're guilty right now. If law enforcement can prove they've done something wrong, then there might be an issue. But right now we don't really know what this means for those NFL players (who probably know who they are). I imagine there are a few nervous NFL players right now.
