D A B O M B Report post Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) disconnect from internet, try to boot up in safe mode. use another computer to download malwarebytes and GMER to a flash drive or some other removable storage run malwarebytes anti-malware, check your startup programs (type msconfig in "run") and go to startup tab and uncheck sketchy shit. Try running GMER, an anti-rootkit utility. (might take a while) There is a program called HiJackThis that scans your computer and puts very detailed information into a text file. This text file is submitted to people who analyze malware. You could find these people on various computer security forums around the internet. The site for HiJackThis probably has their own forum, so try that. I will try to think of some other things, haven't read up on this stuff in almost a year Remember that one click on an exe that seemingly does nothing, or clicking 'run' on a shady java applet can put someone else in full control of your PC. erik Report post Posted March 23, 2013 You can run a bunch of anti viruses to check if you're infected and where but IMO it'll take longer than just doing a system restore or fresh install. I would just sys restore/fresh install since it's the easiest/best way to clean your PC but not always unless whoever infected you is somewhat smart which I doubt because if they stole your RS account it's someone who plays RS. And generally the majority of them have no clue what they're doing. They just buy premade viruses off hackforums.
 0
