Just to be safe

If you bot, at least be sensible about it.

Run on a virtual machine, never enter details into any script/botclient.

If you need a decent VM, pm me - Sandboxie is easy to setup, but I'm happy to help.

Wbots are now taken down and will not be coming back. I'm sure they will be hacking any account they can get their hands on. If you did not change your pass by now. GG.

I've seen the traffic from Wbot. While the software is currently safe, the ability for the devs to put out a malicious update exists. If you are using Wbot, be weary of this and close source scripts as well.

The best security practice if you are using Wbot would be this:

* Virtual machine specifically for botting

* Only bot on noob accounts, change the passwords frequently outside of the VM
* Compile all scripts you use from the source code.
* Wait a day after updates for the really paranoid.

In my opinion, the likeliness for the devs to turn on all of its users is very high. Who is going to code an advanced injection bot for a game and release it for FREE?

What if you just visited their site and didn't download anything? (Serious question here).

you should be fine, but try to change your password every 1-2 months. If you haven't done it for a couple months, this would be a good opportunity to do so.

RSBot did it for years, bots have been free most of the time tbh.

I wasn't around anytime after 07- but didn't RSBot infect its users at some point?

I could be mistaken, but I thought this was the case.
