If it's the latter, here are some Dagannoth Kings numbers for you. Making money is not hard on this game, so here is one method if runecrafting is not for you. Requirements: (can do with lower but waste of time)- prayer - 70 defense - barrows armor (ideally v helm/skirt, any plate) - 62 magic (wind wave, dart is negligably better) - some bank if you're unlucky at the start - a friend (I realize this is hard for a lot of you) If you don't have the requirements: - go altar 150 bones - takes <24h afking spiders with 60/60 to get 70 def - if you're too poor to start, do barrows > kill dragons for hides > collect uni horns/spider eggs/other herb stuffs (tower of life can be efficient) > kill cows > spin flax for 90 profit per (you need 60 craft for lunars anyways) > buy vials from the store > hang yourself - use above methods to make gp, curse (if doing poor methods)/tele to 55 mage, do some alches - Make some friends in IRC or CC Ideal: - 60+ prayer (stole) - guthans (saves on brews, longer trips, don't need to pray) with 70+ melees - 76 mage (pot charge) - void mace (currently 8 hours. 6 pray bonus) - friends - no life Standard droprate is 1/33, or all 3 drops per 100 kills. Current prices are approx 350k/2.4m/2.9m, or a total of >6m worth per 100 kills. Keep in mind some luck is involved, I'm missing roughly 10 axes/5 zerkers from the droprate. I duoed on sharks/ppots from 66-80 magic. In veracs, we killed 25 per trip if nothing went horrendously wrong (2 super antis each), however all the max population worlds have clawers now, so you'll get more like 20. One friend had guthans, trips turned into 30-35 kills (5 antis between us).Once I hit 80 mage, i started soloing with brews. I would recommend you doing this at 76, and bringing two mage pots, i kill 36-38 a trip; you'll kill around 30 with mediocre gear and low prayer (9 restores, more if higher def, 3 antis if 70+ pray). After pots/runes, the profit works out to 1.4m/h at standard droprate. However, it's not hard to go 100+ kills with no drops (or only warriors), so make sure you always keep some supplies. I've personally gone 450 kills without a zerker/axe, gets expensive in a hurry if you're a collections slut. Roughly 50k mage xp per trip/hour. I've no idea guthans inventories as I don't have 70 attack. Upsides: don't need to waste brews (just take some for def boost, and sharks), don't have to pray, can stay for 60 kills. Downsides: have to pray when crashed, have to depend on stupid spear, more wealth risked, can't do primelure method. Note that at times there aren't enough max pop worlds for everyone, consider sharing worlds politely, rather than being a cunt. Half of 1.5x as fast kills is better than a slow world (uses less supplies), and significantly better than pissing someone off and them 3iteming supreme on you for a few hours. I may join your world, don't take it personally, all the dkers know each other now and most share worlds. There are five methods to get to rex safely, I've used all five and each have their uses. Listed in order from worst to best: - try to ninja in without supreme/prime seeing you, along the south wall. Takes luck/multiple tries, can waste a lot of supplies (especially on sharks) as you have to go down with mage pray but supreme is usually there. Ideally everyone go in and 1 person act as the suicider, go back up the ladder, then ninja attempt. - wait for your friend (with 43+ prayer) to stop whatever he is doing, and come suicide to you for 50k. - one person act as the suicider, go back up after everyone is safely in, then go down the ladder and go past when only 1 boss is on him (can sneak north or south, depending their positioning), then xlog away from the others. Issues here are damage taken, the fact that you can't do it if someone already in that world (will lure 2nd boss on you while you're xing, takes a full 60 seconds with boss on you), and that after you x the boss can walk over outside of his aggressive range and get on your teammates (can be avoided by moving north or south along east wall). - watch my stream (twitch.tv/libumrs) when i'm dking (not for a week+, away), join us at seers or cave entrance between trips, get to lair, and xlog in northeast corner soon as we get there with the others that joined - veracs (permanent prayer) only method. Bring a meleer (guthans requirement, adding whip/karils >2x kill rate). Meleer acts as suicider, then waits upstairs until mage lures prime correctly. He must be within two squares of his max east range. Can be fixed by meleer taking prime agro and going back up, or by "pushing" prime by standing under him (requires luck) between kills. As meleer is essentially killing supreme over and over with range prayer for free (and few people know how to do this/don't use guthans), it would be reasonable for them to split 5-20% of the large drops, especially as nobody kills supreme so drops are more valuable than rex's, and they'll be killing faster than you if nice melee stats (though i've had friends do it with 55 str). Respawns faster than rex too. Also, makes you less crashable, lets friends come down midtrip, and basically impossible to lure. Rs is more fun if you're poor. 99 range costs 30m and 50 hours. Buy it. There ya go. Any questions? Let me know. If you want to calc your kills, divide mage xp gained by 1500, give you an approximation. I'm at 2200 or so.
