@Matt Report post Posted July 20, 2015 Earlier in the week it became evident that there was going to be a showdown of epic proportions this weekend. Every clan had long preps and were coming for redemption. Despite defeating The Alliance last night we were ready to do it all over again in F2P this time, very early on it became clear that the alliance would anchor its hopes onto VR.Except they made this same fatal mistake four years ago to this very day. As the years go by the names may change but the game does not, as years and years go on we find ourselves taking on the same enemies who form the same ragtag alliances because they were never good enough to duke it out one on one. Only this time it didn't take 11 hours, it didn't even take three.Just as we did then, we massed up ready to take anyone and everyone on.Reign of Terror Starting: 320+ OptionsAlliance Starting: 240~ PeopleViolent Resolution Starting: 90 People (Ended with 65)Divine Forces Starting: 61 People (Ended with 49)Damage Inc. Starting: 63 People (Ended with 45)Ancient Fury Starting: 22 PeopleThe fight initially began with us rushing VR and within instants the whole alliance was there attacking us, but little do they know, that's exactly what we wanted. You see, our enemies aren't allowed any action if it doesn't revolve around us. We can sit back and crash all their clans for weeks at a time and when we want a fight we can get one easily, which is what happened today. We wanted a long, hard fight. We didn't really get one.We were able to split up into three groups, two sniper units and one main pile. This was extremely confusing to the alliance clans who didn't know exactly where we were as they were always seeing our snipers in different places. Our main pile and snipers working closely together and basically tag teaming the alliance clans into every corner of the map.As the time went by, our hunger for victory only grew. Within an hour of fighting, over 130 people were on our Teamspeak giving it to the alliance six ways from Sunday. After 2 hours of fighting, the alliance decided to take the fight to Greater Demons and mass snipe us there as none of them were able to keep a pile against us. They tried this for about 20 minutes, but it was to no avail. We're quite experienced when it comes to handling mass snipers and that really showed today when we excelled when the fight took that turn. In under half an hour they were sent running from GDS to East Tree, where we followed them.The fight was now in its waning minutes. Our intensity only growing until the very end. However, there was no other place to turn to, their days were numbered. DF and DI logged out shortly before 8PM, with VR stubbornly remaining for about 2 minutes until they realized we had maxed options. Within 5 minutes of their retreat the battlefield was cleared.
