Interesting suggestions. I really like the Ranged shield idea as well as the proposed buffs for ahrim's staff.

Since they're focusing on revitalizing and re-working dead/broken content they should re-balance unused Ancient Magick Spells too. Smoke spells, for example, should be 100% venom chance with the current serp helm re-work (just as a start). It would be nice if the spell-stacking mechanic returned to OS as well.

 

Other dead content like Splitbark could use some tweaks as well...

Well honestly, with serp helms and Toxic Staves being so prevalent, I wouldn't mind seeing smoke spells replaced/reworked entirely. I'm rather fond of the idea of re-implementing Miasmic Spell effects for weapon speed reduction. I think that would be a more interesting replacement rather than adding more possibilities for venom (There are already enough ways to add venom to targets).
