Villiska Report post Posted July 29, 2011 Some time ago, Microsoft started moving all of the functionality from internal Windows services into .dll files instead of .exe files. From a programming perspective this makes more sense for reusabilityâ?¦ but the problem is that you canâ??t launch a .dll file directly from Windows, it has to be loaded up from a running executable (.exe). Thus the svchost.exe process was born. TL;DR: You need them, do not do anything about them. If they are lagging you then you definitely need a PC upgrade. Dark Report post Posted July 29, 2011 Nothing you can do UNLESS: Start -> msconfig -> Start up tab -> If it's on there remove it and restart. If it's not on the above, nothing you can do.
Rcms Report post Posted July 29, 2011 (edited) Yea Ive had this problem with my last 2 computers. From what ive seen the ways of fixing it never bring the computer back to manufacture standards. 100% get a new comp. (Ive never tried justin's advice before tho o.o) Gl Note: Do you lagg really hard in rs when you tele/open new interfaces? High cpu usage makes it REALLY HARD to do anything eles when you play rs. Splodge Report post Posted July 29, 2011 Sounds to me as if somethings binded itself into your Svchost.exe (how many of them are running?). Do some virus scans/reformat your PC.
